Eng. Dr. M.M. Kissaka received B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in 1989 and Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 1994. Currently he is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT), University of Dar es Salaam. His is involved in teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students and carrying out research and consultancy activities in the field of ICT. His research interest includes Wireless Communication and e-Learning.
At the University of Dar es Salaam, He has taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses in electronics engineering, telecommunication engineering and computer networks for more than twenty three (23) years. He has supervised a number of Masters, PhD and B.Sc. students and he has examined a number of Masters and PhD thesis and dissertations. Dr. Kissaka is also an external examiner to local and abroad international academic institutions. Currently he is a member of Wireless Communication Research Groups (WCRG) and e-Learning Research Group (eLRG) at the University of Dar es Salaam, College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoCT).
Dr. Kissaka has served as Head of department for more than eight years and as Director, Centre for Virtual Learning (CVL) for three (3) years at UDSM. Currently Dr Kissaka is the Principal, College of Information and Communication Technologies (CoICT) and member of Senate at the University of Dar es Salaam.
Eng. Dr. M.M. Kissaka is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) in Tanzania since 2003 in the telecommunications engineering field. He has performed numerous consultancy assignments related to electronics, telecommunications and ICT

Dr. Joel S. Mtebe received B.Sc. Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Dar es Salaam, Tanzania in 2002 and Master of eLearning from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia in 2004. He received his PhD in Interactive Technology/Human Computer Interaction from the University of Tampere in Finland.
He is currently a Lecturer in Computer Science at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Dar es Salaam. He has taught Research Methodology, Advanced Human Computer Interaction, Information Systems Development and Management, and Cloud Computing.
Dr Mtebe has supervised a number of Masters, and PhD students and he has examined a number of Masters and PhD thesis and dissertations. He is currently coordinating an eLearning Research Group with more than 20 masters and 8 PhD students conducting various aspects of computer science and eLearning.
He has published more than 25 scientific articles in international journals and presented in several conferences in Tanzania and outside. His research interest include information system implementation, OER, MOOCs, Cloud computing, usability, Learning management systems, Mobile learning etc.

Dr. Honest C. Kimaro is a Senior Lecturer in Computer Science and Information Systems. He completed his Bachelor degree in Computer Science at the University of Dar es Salaam in 1998, Master of Science in Technical Informatics at Technical University of Deft in the Netherlands in 2001 and PhD in Information Systems at the University of Oslo in 2006. He was appointed as the Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering under the College of ICT in 2015 after having served as the Coordinator for Postgraduate Studies for 8 years. Dr. Kimaro has been coordinating the project on development and implementation of sustainable information systems in Tanzania using DHIS2 and open source technologies jointly with the University of Oslo, Tanzania Ministries of Health and community development, Gender, Elderly and Children & Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, and other multiple stakeholders. The DHIS2 project that has been running over the past 14 years has continuously increased in scope and focus overtime and is based the key pillars: capacity building, research, and innovation. The project serves as the key research platform for postgraduate students in information systems generally and specifically for health informatics that was jointly established at UDSM in 2007 jointly with the University of Oslo through NORAD funding. The project has produced more than 40 dissertations and a large number of journal and scientific conference publications.
Dr. Kimaro teaches courses in Systems Design and Innovation, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Databases, knowledge management, and Monitoring & Evaluation and supervises a number of postgraduate and undergraduate students. His main research areas of interest are design and implementation of integrated and sustainable information systems & architectures. Dr. Kimaro is the current Head of Computer Science and Engineering at UDSM
