Dr. Kosmas Kapis received M.Sc. degree in Radio Communication and Broadcasting Engineering from Odessa Electrotechnical Institute of Communication in the former USSR in 1989. He also received a Master of Engineering degree in Telecommunication and Networking from Curtin University of Technology, Australia in 1996. In 2011 he received a PhD degree in Information Security from the Open University of Tanzania (OUT). His PhD research was jointly coducted between OUT and Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.
Dr. Kapis is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, College of Information and Communications Technology, University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He teaches courses in information security, network security and applied cryptography at undergraduate and postgraduate levels where he also supervises a number of students. He is also involved in conducting a number of consultancies in information cyber security.
His research focus includes computational privacy (processing sensitive data), distributed trust-blockchain, cloud computing (integrity and verifiability, and data privacy) and anonymization techniques for open data.

Prof. Herald N. Kundaeli received his B.Sc. degree from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania in 1979, his M.Sc. from the Philips International Institute in the Netherlands in 1982, and his Ph.D. from the University of Dar es Salaam in 1996. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, College of Information and Communication Technologies, University of Dar es Salaam.
Since his employment at the University of Dar es Salaam in 1979, he has taught and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students in Physics, Electronics and telecommunications. His research interests are in wireless communication, optical fibre communication, synchronisation and error control in digital communication systems, signal processing, and the applications of mathematical models to interdisciplinary research.
His current works are in the utilisation of ICT in industry, the stimulation of local talent for self-employment in ICT, and the promotion of Innovation for accelerated industrial development.

Eng. Prof. N.H. Mvungi: BSc in Electrical Engineering (1978) of the University Dare es Salaam; MSc in Electronics Control Engineering (1980) of Salford University, U.K.; PhD (1989) of Leeds University, U.K. Industrial attacment Phillips Center for Technology, Eindhoven, the Netherlands Feb. 1992 to Feb. 1993. ILO Consultant on Solar Energy Systems Onersol Solar Energy Research Centre in Niamey June-July 1991. Adjunct professor of Egarton University, Kenya. Collaborate with Swedish Institutions since 1998. An academician and consultant at University of Dar es Salaam since 1978. He worked September 2008 to June 2012 at the University Dodoma in Tanzania as the founding Principal of the College of Informatics and Virtual Education and then Principal of College of ICT of the University of Dar es Salaam untill retirement. He received a 2010 IBM Faculty Award. He is involved in regulatory bodies of TCRA and ERB in conduscting studies and in issues related to operationa and regulations. Prof. Mvungi has published widely in conferences, in journal and other media including studies and survey reports. He is a registered consulting engineer. He is a member of Institution of Engineers Tanzania (IET), International Commission on Atmospheric Electricity (ICAE), Associate Member – STS e-member GLOSAS/USA
